BLUEFIN TUNA
Bluefin tuna can reach 10 feet in length, weighing as much as 1,500 pounds.
This is a unique event. Each year on the East Coast of the North Island, the Southern Bluefin Tuna visits our offshore areas in numbers. There is only a small allowance for the New Zealand commercial fishing fleet to catch by longlines and when their total allowance is caught, there is a unique opportunity for the more adventurous recreational fisherman to target them.

We will travel each year to the ports of Gisborne and Napier to take part in these events. These are particularly large Southern Bluefin and few have the knowhow to successfully target these fish but godeepsea .

The price is US$550 per day each person. We would suggest that four would be a good number. (Airfares not included)

Weather at this time of year can be unfavourable, and therefore to allow a signifigant window of opportunity a 5 day voyage is required.

BIGEYE TUNA
Each year in the Bay of Plenty, the Bigeye Tuna visits our coast. This is a special event that occurs in the months of November and December. Weather is favourable at this time of year. Day Rate US$550 per person. godeepsea uses a number of unique methods to catch the Bigeye, all of which take time and therefore a 5 day voyage is needed. You could expect to visit the ports of Tauranga and Whakatane during your voyage.

BLUE MARLIN
In the Eastern Bay of Plenty in March each year there is a small period of only two or three weeks where the Blue Marlin visit. These are large fish. Commercial fishermen in New Zealand are not permitted to catch these fish and only the recreational angler may pursue them.

For the more adventurous undwerwater photographer, this may also well be the opportunity of a lifetime to capture rare footage of the Blue Marlin. Day rate US$550 per person (airfares not included).
